Powassan viral encephalitis

This is a less common tick borne disease which a Woodchuck Tick can give you. 

Symptoms: 7 to 14 days after the tick bite

-          Fever

-          Meningoencephalitis

-          Neurological sequelae in 50% of the cases

Fatality in 10% of the cases!!!

Treatment: there is no treatment known for this disease.
